Western’s Recycle Express curbside service is the no-hassle way to recycle ‘hard-to-recycle’ household items that are heavy, bulky or require special handling such as electronics, metal, tires and mattresses.
What makes an item ‘Hard To Recycle’?
Hard to recycle items require special processing before being recycled. This can involve disassembly, managing hazardous components or access to specialty recycling markets. It also includes items banned from the landfill.
What can I recycle?

- Small household appliances such as coffee makers, hair dryers, irons, microwave ovens and vacuum cleaners
- Large appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers and water heaters
- Mattress/Box Springs
- All types of metal items such as satellite dishes, BBQ grills and lawn mowers
- Tires

How much does the service cost?
There is a $60 transportation charge for Recycle Express service
Will I also be charged for the items collected?
There is a per item charge in addition to the transportation charge. Please see pricing below.
