BOULDER, Colo. — Nov. 1, 2016 — Western Disposal Services, a locally owned Boulder-based company offering residential and commercial trash, recycling and composting services, today announced they have been presented with two safety achievement awards by insurer The Hartford Financial Services.
The Distinguished Fleet Safety Award recognizes Western Disposal’s exceptional driving performance and operational safety in 2015. The Company logged more than 1.3 million miles in 2015 with an accident frequency rate of 1.51. According to The Hartford, clients are considered exceptional if they have a frequency rate of 5 or less.
Western Disposal also won the 2015 Safety Milestone Award, which recognized Western’s Residential Automated team for operating 365 days without an accident or an injury.
