As COVID-19 continues to have an increased impact on our community, we want to share with you the steps we are taking to support the health and well being of our customers and employees.
At this time, we have made no changes to our collection routines. Our drivers are wearing gloves at all times and continuously disinfecting contact areas in their trucks. Drivers have been instructed to limit face-to-face interactions and to practice social distancing. We ask that you reciprocate and avoid initiating contact with your driver whenever possible. If you have questions about your service, please contact customer service at 303-444-2037.
Public drop off at Western’s Trash & Recycle Center
We are open for business as usual; hours of operation can be found here. We have added a “sneeze window” at the scale house to reduce the possibility of virus transmission during transactions, and scale house attendants are wearing gloves.
Currently our office is fully staffed and ready to serve you. We encourage customers to contact customer service at 303-444-2037 to pay a bill or to order services rather than making a personal visit.
This is an evolving public health issue and Western Disposal is closely monitoring the guidance being issued by Boulder County Public Health and the Colorado Department of Health and Environment. We have instituted extensive disinfecting measures and social distancing practices in and around our facility. This notification will be updated if/when changes in our business operations occur.
Recommendations from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment:
- Practice good hygiene. Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water. In the absence of soap and water, use hand-sanitizer; use your elbow or sleeve to cover coughs and sneezes
- Stay home if you’re sick; keep your children home if they are sick. The illness can last for many days so make preparations now to work from home if possible.
- We advise Coloradans to always be prepared for an emergency– like a large snowstorm– and have a plan for your family. Make sure to have 72 hours of key supplies on hand like medications, infant formula, diapers, pet food, etc. FEMA guidance for pre-pandemic COVID-19 preparedness is available on Ready.gov.
- Stay informed with reliable, up-to-date information. People who have general questions about coronavirus disease 2019, can call CO HELP at 303-389-1687 or 1-877-462-2911.
