The City of Lafayette requires single family residences that are not part of an HOA to purchase their trash service in 32 gallon units in a system called “pay-as-you-throw”. Western offers three sizes for trash and the City of Lafayette provides recycle carts in 96 and 32 gallon sizes. At this time, curbside compost service is not available to single family residents in the City of Lafayette.
