Western processes the yard waste and wood waste dropped off at our trash and recycling center into compost and wood mulch that you can use in your home landscape to improve your soil and to conserve water.

Our compost is unique in that no manures or human bio-solids are used in the manufacturing of the compost, only vegetative materials.  While compost should not be viewed as a nutrient source for your landscape, it does wonders for the soil allowing air into the soil, allowing the soil to retain moisture longer and providing beneficial bacteria for the plants in your landscape.

Using ground yard waste mulch in your landscape can reduce the amount of water used to maintain your plants in a healthy state.  Mulching needs to be done every year to maintain an insulating layer between the atmosphere and the soil.

Our products are available in 1.5 cubic feet bags and in bulk.  If you want materials in bulk, we can load your pickup or other truck or we can provide delivery service.
