What Goes in the Trash

Preparing your trash for collection is not as simple as it once was.

Now that households and businesses are recycling, and in many cases segregating organics for composting, trash day has become more complicated. Anything that cannot be recycled or composted goes into the trash except the following items.

What Goes in the Trash

Do not put the following items in your trash:
  • Motor oil
  • Hazardous waste (click here)
  • Liquid paint
  • Needles or syringes
  • Cooking oil (can be disposed of if solidified, i.e. add kitty litter to solidify)
  • Loose or hot ashes
Set -out time: 7:00 am
