Now that households and businesses are recycling, and in many cases segregating organics for composting, trash day has become more complicated.  The facilities that process recyclables for market or that compost organics must depend upon you to properly segregate your materials before collection.  When materials are improperly prepared for collection, an entire batch of compost can be ruined or a piece of recyclables processing equipment can be damaged.
